If you’re planning a graduation party and want to incorporate flowers in your décor, you likely only have two to three weeks left to finalize your arrangements. Need helping putting everything together, or want ideas on where to begin? The following are some of our favorite ways to decorate for a graduation party using beautiful flowers that you can probably get near you. If you can’t find flowers where you live, read up on what you’ll need and order them today!
Flower Pot Centerpieces
If you’ll have a table set up with food, think about placing some pretty flower pots down the middle of the table and choose flowers for the pots that are your graduate’s school colors. You don’t need to look for any unusual flowers if your school colors are black or some other non-traditional flower color, simply opt for a flower in white (or one of your other school colors) and then decorate the pot with black ribbon or fabric.
Graduation Cap with Flower Crown
A lovely way to create a centerpiece for a graduation party is to take the graduate’s cap and place a floral wreath around it. The wreath can be made of flowers that tie in with the official colors of the graduate’s school, or they can just be celebratory and fun shades like orange and yellow. See our previous post on how to create a floral crown.
Floating Flowers
Having a pool party for your graduate? Think about floating flowers in your swimming pool. We wrote about great flowers to float in a pool in this post, but you can get creative and throw any blossoms in that your graduate loves or that fit in with a theme you might have for your party.
These are only a few ways that you can incorporate flowers into graduation party décor. The options are endless!
Do you already have some ideas for flower centerpieces or displays for your graduate’s end-of-year celebration? If so, feel free to share with us in the comments below. We’d love to hear what you’re up to!
